About Congarinni North
Congarinni North is part of the local
government area of Nambucca Shire, which is
situated in New South Wales' Mid North Coast
region. The suburb of Congarinni North is
located near the Pacific Highway and the
Nambucca River. Congarinni North is largely a
rural and residential area that has small hobby
farms and large cattle farms. Crops grown in
the area of Congarinni North include fruits,
vegetables and nuts. An interesting attraction in
the suburb is Valley of the Mist, a native tree
plantation that practices sustainable farming
methods as well as provides eco-tourism
programs. The plantation offers to take tourists
on a canoe trip through wetlands and
waterways to observe wildlife in their natural
habitat. Visitors to the plantation may also be
treated to a gourmet bushtucker
tour that allows them to sample bush food and
condiments such as finger limes, lemon myrtle,
lilli pilli, Davidson plum, riberries, macadamia
nuts and aniseed myrtle.
